40th Anniversary Review: 29/04/76 Silver Star

Doc
29/04/76 part 2

Pan's People danced to:
The Four Seasons - Silver Star
Rated at an average of 8.08 by 22 people.

One Liner: A fine finale, it's just a shame that they forgot to tell anyone.
Champagne: Several here, 1.The Cherry revelation shot at the start. 2. Sue dreaming to the 'In my dream' line and subsequent spins. 3. The moment seen in picture above.
Spotted: I think we've all seen Sue getting her veil wrapped around her head. The camera effects make the veils all but disapper in many shots. Sue and Ruth appear to be dancing on the same podium in the solo shots.

Comments on the following please:
ONE LINER: One sentence comment.
CHAMPAGNE: Any favorite moment.
SPOTTED: See anything unusual?

ONE LINER: A `Gold` star for Ruth for her terrific solo.

CHAMPAGNE: Obviously the above mentioned Ruth solo. For this watcher, my favourite Ruth moment comes in the last minute of her 8 year tenure.

SPOTTED: The close-up shots of the chest `fleshings`.

ONE LINER: A decent if unspectacular last performance, personally i prefer the more relaxed good humour of More More More
CHAMPAGNE: A glass or two for the lovely Ruth please
SPOTTED: Sue gets a bit tangled up at one point

ONE LINER:  Frantic Angels give way to an emotional Retiree

CHAMPAGNE:  Ruth's tearful goodbye

SPOTTED:  Invention of the Blunderbra
Some Dancers who gave a good time, broke all the rules, played all the fools, yeah yeah yeah they blew our minds

ONE LINER:  The perfect end dance.

CHAMPAGNE:  Ruth's solo.  Completely memorable.

SPOTTED:  Poorly fitting lingerie.
Everywhere, wherever you look, manipulation rearing it's head.

ONE LINER: A cosmic starburst farewell for an original Pan's Pe(a)rson
CHAMPAGNE: Ruth being afforded an affecting farewell on a different planet to that given to Pauline almost half a decade on. She just about manages to keep her emotions - if not ours - simmering.
SPOTTED: The transparent tops are almost too convincing and certainly required a double check just to make sure. The reminder to top up the Star Anise is welcomed.

ONE LINER: The girls really deserved star billing in the intro but sadly didn't get it.  (TB you plonker!)
CHAMPAGNE: Its a tie between Ruth's solo and Sue's tangle.
SPOTTED: Flick's first foray into the net curtain business!

Old Grey Whistler
ONE LINER: An iconic and emotional dance for both the dancers and the fans but it is a shame that BBC4 were oblivious to its significance
CHAMPAGNE: Ruth's solo
SPOTTED: More like didn't spot Mary. Considering it was her last appearance she hardly got any camera time.
Without Legs & Co, there would be no show!

Shame really because it would have been very pleasant to have see some more close ups of her.

PS: Welcome to the Silver Tumbleweed routine review.

Just watched this routine again and couldn't help but notice Sue's twitching eye lashes in the very next scene after Ruth's big solo spot. Watch closely, its most peculiar.
