SUMMARY: Nice variety show reflecting city life

CHAMPAGNE: Every second Cherry is on stage but especially her "come on"

SPOTTED: It strikes me that Gavin would have made an excellent Zombie (sorry)

SUMMARY: With routines this good, its difficult to comprehend how Ruby's lifespan was so short on TOTPs.

CHAMPAGNE: Ive often been critical of Cherry's time in Flipper, but she is simply magnificent in this and my eyes are drawn to her mighty fine `hands on hips` soul city walk.

SPOTTED: At 1.50 mins on Doc's link Cherry decides not to use the steps to get of stage and takes one big step of instead (unlike Floid two seconds later who uses the steps). Then at 1.57 mins she finds herself off stage in an unusual bent over position, maybe its her attempt at trying not to be seen of camera.

SUMMARY: Relentlessly feelgood denim fest, if a little chaotic at times

CHAMPAGNE: Cherry leading some sort of loose conga around the set

SPOTTED: Floyd losing any street cred he may have had wearing those dungarees

Dancer
SUMMARY: Rush hour on Fifth Avenue

CHAMPAGNE: Lulu's beautiful solo dance and miming beautifully.  She was more relaxed here but looked gorgeous in that skirt

SPOTTED: Cherry pausing on the side before waving her hands up in the background.  Men in chronic outfits.
Everywhere, wherever you look, manipulation rearing it's head.

The Rubberband Man
SUMMARY: Ruby Flipper's 2nd week - best to walk before you run.

CHAMPAGNE: Lulu's "You don't need no partner....." solo dance - she's sooooo sweet! (Incidentally Lulu, I could be your partner.... )

SPOTTED: King Kong hanging off that building in the middle. No, not really, but it looks like he could.
All bound for Lulu Land

SUMMARY: Its the day of the cab strike!
CHAMPAGNE: Lulu's solo stint near the end.  (For her second week on screen this was a great performance from the young'un.)
SPOTTED: Sue getting in some practice should she every be called upon to play the rear of a camel.  (Good to have all the ends covered !)  Plus the highest waisted pair of jeans in TOTP's history!

Could this be the first and only appearance of Grandad pants on the show?

SUMMARY : Pedestrian chaos on a day when the "Don't Walk" signs take a hike.
CHAMPAGNE : Cherry's walk with Gavin and Phil, each behind an upturned palm.
SPOTTED : Phil's Groucho Marx impression. Sue Cowell's zip-less jeans.

Old Grey Whistler
SUMMARY: Proof that walking is good for you.
CHAMPAGNE: Lulu's solo towards the end.
SPOTTED: The building at the front of the stage had a very modern design for the 1970's. Maybe Sir Norman Foster was working on TOTP at the time.
Without Legs & Co, there would be no show!

SUMMARY: A very busy routine, lots going on but it all works perfectly.

CHAMPAGNE: Cherry in those hot pants

SPOTTED: At first i thought Paul Nicholas had popped across the studio to join in the routine, then realized it was Gavin, also noticed Lulu at around 1.55 looks as though she's going to go down the steps at the side of the stage, then seems to realize she's due in front of the camera and skips around the side to take up her position.

Reggae Like It Used To Be.

Dunno if this has already been mentioned, if so then apologies, but Lulu is the typical female isn't she. Whaddya mean ? Watch her at the end when DLT innocently touches the back of her head. See how she then instinctively has to then raise her own hand to the back of her head to make sure her `cutey-pie` hair is still in place. Why else run off like she did, unless thats how young girls ran in those days !

and while we are at it, how is this Reggae ?
