This post was updated on .
I think its high time we remember people in the music business who are starting to pass away rather to quickly these days. So from now on i will list down any one who expires in the music world. I wont pin it and hopefully it will sink away into older posts for quite a while, but everytime someone pegs it, and i have heard of the person, i will post the departed ones name on here, and it will unfortunatly rise to the top again. I will start with the beginning of 2011 when the forum here really started. Feel free to add comments if you wish.

Re: Music people taking the stairway to heaven.

Good idea Ryan.  Just looking at their ages, very impressed that Flick was choreographer for the country's premier Pop Show when she was barely 20.  On the other hand Jimmy was about the same age as my Dad and I can't for the life of me imagine the ol' man hosting TOTP!!
Some Dancers who gave a good time, broke all the rules, played all the fools, yeah yeah yeah they blew our minds

Yes,
interesting about Showaddywaddy that they were discovered on New Faces, I believe. Also, they looked to be on their way out by mid 76 after a couple of their self-written songs reached the low thirties in the chart (e.g. Trocadero) but they were saved by going back to the old covers and 'Under The Moon of Love' dramatically breathed new life into their careers. The edited TOTP studio routine that jumps between their white and black suits for 'Moon of Love' was clever. They were a regular staple of 70s entertainment shows weren't they?

Yes but the endless cover versions were such a drag, very similar to Shaking Stevens in that respect.  Thinking back now, they were quite unusual in the fact they had a black guy in the band, the drummer Romeo Challenger. Mixed bands were quite rare back then, though Hot Chocalate were an exception to that rule. It wasnt really till the ska boom of the late 70s when more and more mixed bands were prevalent. Or a i thinking like a stereo typical person of that time ?
