The Rubberband Man
Musically, Chuck Berry defines the entire genre of Rock and Roll. The amount of covers of his songs is staggering.
RIP

I'm not that familiar with Soundgarden, but the Bond theme Chris did for Casino Royale was an absolute belter. 52 is far too young. RIP.

What a shame.  I bet Adios will make it into Top 10 then.  He had some lovely songs in the seventies.  His best were written by Jimmy Webb.

That's really sad. I'm not a big country fan but I always liked Glen's music.

Very sad. He had a long battle with Alzheimer's, which must have been a strain on his family.
A wonderful singer, "Wichita Lineman" is a particular favourite of mine.
RIP

Farewell to Glen.  I always particularly liked Rhinestone Cowboy.
Without Legs & Co, there would be no show!

A very sad loss, I very much liked his music. It is interesting to look at the diverse acts he worked with prior to making the big time in his own right. Very talented. Did anyone else see the Sky Arts (I think it was) documentary following him on a leg of his final tour a while after the illness was diagnosed? He did so well to manage it so all.

Rest peacefully Glenn.

The Rubberband Man
The definitive Mr Saturday Night. Probably the greatest and last all round entertainer who has left us with many happy memories and a list of infectious and immensely repeatable catch phrases.
RIP Bruce.

While I sit writing this, you will not see someone like Brucie again. This man spanned the golden age of television for me. Or am I looking back with rose coloured glasses. No am not this entertainer will last forever, this man was all round. He could sing and dance did comedy. I remember watching him on SNOTLP, GG, PYCR and of course SCD. So Rest in Peace.

By 1989 I wasn't buying that many records, but the Soul II Soul sound captured my imagination. So sad to hear this news.
