Still very surprised how only 11 members have left ratings for the wonderful `Love Hit Me` routine. Even other fine dances like `Egyptian Reggae` and `Take A Chance On Me` have only had 12 sets of ratings. `Turn To Stone` has only had 9 sets of ratings !
Maybe folks are forgetting which ones they've voted on and which they haven't - I know myself that it's tricky when you're a late-comer and you're playing catch-up. Or maybe they just keep re-watching the fantastic Love Hit Me and don't actually get round to voting??
One thing though Ryan, I'm no mathetician and I'm doubting your own arithmetic but 109.2 / 110 according to my calculator gives Love Hit Me a mighty average of 9.92, making it the heavy weight champ!
Hi Old Bill. Ive just re-checked the `Love Hit Me` ratings and these are my findings.
Old Bill 10
Okay Old Bill, thats 10 sets of ratings. So theres 2 sets missing. One set of marks belonged to Benja, but those marks have now disappeared along with his posts. The other set of marks belongs to Adorable Gillusion. The reason they do not appear on the thread is that he posted a big bunch of marks in one long post. That post was on the old scoreboard thread. Ive now sunk that thread into old posts and after searching for it, im afraid i cant find it.
This is one of the reasons why i prefer all marks, ratings etc to be one the same thread and i wouldn't let that happen now.
If we take the 10 sets of ratings that ive listed above, its gives us an average of 9.40, which is very impressive. All i can assume is that Benja & Adorable Gillusion were not to generous on this routine. I will however endevour to locate AGs scores. I hope this explanation is sufficient.
Hi again OB, further to my post above. Ive now located AGs score rating for `Love Hit Me`. The old thread currently resides on page 2 of the forum, his is about the 6th post on there (keep scrolling down).
Yes please do Bucksby. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and if id have thought of a way to make it easier for folk to check easily if they've rated routines at the very beginning of when the comments section began, then i would have. I could have created a list similar to the one in the Dotd section, but alas i didn't have that foresight. Its way to late now for me to create one, id have to check through a 1000 or so posts, probably more.
Also folks ratings who have left the forum have disappeared from view making it even harder. But i do ask members to check through the comments on routines threads themselves to check if they have left ratings etc and this goes for the Pans & Ruby sections also. The more ratings we get the merrier. Its just a shame all routines don't get the same amount of ratings, then it truely would be 100% accurate.
Id love to know how this top ten will end up. 1981 is often a year that's gets lambasted by fans of Legs & Co and im no exception to that. But there is defiantly some splendid routines around from that year, not to sure if any will trouble the top ten though. I have a feeling performances from 79 & 80 may do though and a couple or three from the remainder of 78. I don't feel its fair if i mention the names of these routines as id hate to prejudice there chances in anyway.
Will any Legs & Co routine break the 9.5 barrier again, yes i believe there maybe a couple, will they stay above 9.5, i doubt it. One set of low marks can scupper the routine and i firmly believe we all see and score routines differently.
Again i wont names names, but in my position where im very familiar with the ratings to who gives what, some of you are mighty generous and some are skinflints. I dont mind either way, its all part of the fun to me.
