You’ll Never Find Another Love Like Mine is a song written by Gamble and Huff (the Philadelphia boys) and performed by Lou Rawls. It reached #2 in the Billboard Hot 100 chart and more recently has been covered by Canadian crooner Michael Buble. The song has been in one of the Ice Age movies and was danced as a Rumba in Season 7 of Dancing with the Stars. It was Lou’s biggest Single but he was a truly illustrious chap who could count providing carton voices in Garfield, appearing in the first season of Sesame Street, several Budweiser Adverts and, surely the pinnacle, a cameo on Baywatch in his portfolio. Seriously though the guy hung out with the greats like Sam Cooke and was described by no less a singer than Ol Blue Eyes himself as having “the silkiest chops in the singing game.” He was a three time Grammy Winner and opened for the Beatles in Cincinatti in 1966. Latterly Lou became something of a US National Anthem specialist, performing at several World Series Baseball games as well as a Mohammed Ali World title fight with Earnie Shavers in 1977. Sadly Lou died in 2006.

I love the Phil and Cherry relationship issues and they play their parts quite beautifully. Phil in his Silver-Grey V for Vendetta outfit looks very dapper and his temporary rejection of Cherry (while completely unbelievable to me) is just perfect. Cherry, looking as good as anyone ever has in a shawl, of course entices him back and their subsequent spin is really quite marvelous. The three ladies with their magic blue ostrich feathers are quite divine as well and they are a constant temptation for the stop-framers amongst us and provide a lovely backdrop for the theme couple. Floid on the other hand does well but his (?)Ringmaster character just doesn’t seem to work for me and isn’t up to the standard of the other performers. Not sure I’m being totally fair to Floid as I seem to have criticized him a bit lately and I wonder if it is as much the roles he is given but I’ll be interested to hear other’s views on this. Anyway I’m giving this performance
8.75/10 and after much heart-searching I’m using my split vote for DotD (did I mention this is unique to the RF Thread?!) and give Dotd equally to
Phil and Cherry. Please let me hear your views friends
Some Dancers who gave a good time, broke all the rules, played all the fools, yeah yeah yeah they blew our minds
